PGDES (Post Graduate Diploma in Embedded Systems)

The goal of this course is to impart training to interested graduate engineers with basic background in Hardware & Software, in specialized area of Embedded Systems so that they can develop expertise in developing and deploying embedded systems over a wide range of applications.

The foundation modules of the course will provide an exposure to a gamut of technologies associated with embedded systems. Advanced modules will cover a large number of the relevant enabling technologies and applications of embedded systems.

1. Architecture of processors: PIC, ARM, 8051, DSP Architectures.
2. Interfacing issues.
3. Software design and programming for embedded systems.
4. UML based embedded design methodology.
5. Hardware-software co-design (Including aspects of VHDL and FPGA based design.
6. Internet enabled and networked embedded systems.
7. Telecom appliances including wireless devices, sensors.
8. Multimedia coding techniques like MPEG-4/MPEG-7 and their usage in embedded systems.
9. Embedded Control and application.
